Men Shop Too

We buy so many things online for our homes, our kids, our pets, and ourselves, but what are the men buying? I thought you might be as curious as I, so I polled my hubs about what he has been purchasing recently on #Amazon. In stark contrast to the volume of purchases I click through on a regular basis (diapers, detergent, dog treats...you name it, I'm probably buying it online as I think about it throughout the day working mostly from home), Patrick did not have a long list. And several of the items were lawn related... not exactly thrilling content.

But, for the curious, I put together a (short) list of the items my husband has actually purchased for himself lately and liked, in case you have been looking for options for the men in your lives.

  1. Hanes Men's Long Sleeve Cool Dri T-Shirt UPF 50+: sun safety is the name of the game and this two pack of SPF shirts has been spotted more than once in use at the pool and during yard work. Prices range from about $18 to $37 for a 2-pack, depending on color and size.

  2. Hanes Men's Short Sleeve Cool Dri T-Shirt UPF 50+: the short sleeve version might even be more popular in our house than the long sleeve options (could that be because Louisiana boasts oppressively hot summers?), and there are so many color options for sun-responsible fashion #dadbeasts. Prices range from about $13 to $19 for a 2-pack, depending on color and size.

  3. Amazon Essentials Men's Slim-Fit Long-Sleeve Stripe Pocket Oxford Shirt: this is actually a personal favorite of mine on behalf of Patrick. These shirts are 100% cotton and 100% classically good-looking. The blue stripe is perfectly handsome and, as a Southern supporter of men wearing pink, I will likely pressure for the pink stripe soon. The prices range from about $13 to $18, depending on color and size, so they are a steal!

  4. maamgic Mens Boys 80s 90s Vintage 4 Way Stretch Swim Trunks with Mesh Lining Quick Dry Swim Suits Board Shorts: Swimwear! Patrick recently purchased the "Leaf Gray" and "Hot Tree" colorways and says they are very comfortable. They run about $26 per pair.

  5. Cole Haan Men's Howland Penny Loafer: Patrick might never buy these for himself and he was in desperate need of a replacement pair of driving mocs, these were his Father's Day present. Technically, he wasn't shopping for these recently, but he did send me the link long ago and I've held on to it until a time such as now. Great looking. Great quality. Great option.

  6. Amazon Essentials Men's 8" Drawstring Walk Short: I have no clue how he stumbled across the Amazon Walk Short, but a few pairs of these babies have been seen walking around our house lately and word on the street is that they are comfortable and versatile, not to mention affordable at about $16 per pair. Get on the Walk Short train.
